🪙 Tip Coin — Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 24, 2026. This policy explains what Tip Coin (operated by Hot Deck) collects and how we use it.

What we collect

When you text our service, we receive your phone number and the messages you send. When you scan a coin, we log the scan event (coin, time, and technical metadata such as browser user agent). If you volunteer a tip amount or note, we store it in that coin's journal.

How we use it

We use this information to run the game: tracking coin custody, building each coin's journal, replying to your messages, and keeping the service safe. Coin journals shown to players are aggregate and do not display your phone number.

SMS consent and sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except as required to deliver the service (e.g., our SMS carrier and cloud infrastructure providers) or comply with law.

Message frequency and rates

Message frequency varies based on your participation in the game. Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any message to opt out of all future messages. Reply HELP for help. Opting out ends message delivery but coin journal history (without your phone number) remains part of the game record.

Data retention and deletion

We retain game records to preserve each coin's journal. You may request deletion of your personal information (your phone number and message history) and we will honor it consistent with applicable law.
